To Louis Couperin, the François’s uncle, could have been attributed only 2 pieces for the organ before that his manuscript of 70 works was discovered, in 1957. Finally published in 1995 (!), this precious work comprised, besides the 2 works already known, 68 other unpublished pieces. This 15th, named “récit de basse”, was composed in December 1656.
