Franz Schubert
(1797-1828)
Symphony No. 8 “Unfinished”, D 759
Between 1819 and 1822, Schubert experienced a creative confusion which left many of his compositions uncompleted. Put aside because it had not been finished, this work was performed the first time on December 17th, 1865, “completed” by the final of his 3rd Symphony. Nowadays, it is so famous that many people think it is the last Symphony by Schubert. |
